PUPIL PROFILEStudying the NVQ 1 Beauty Therapy course over 2 years was a great time for me. I was able to learn different things that I would not do at school. Over the 2 years we learnt how to do manicures and facials we also saw level 2 and 3 students do their treatments. I really liked going to college for 1 day a week because I was able to get fully involved in the running of the salon. The course gave me a clear direction as to what I wanted to do as a career choice. I am now studying NQV II at Cirencester College and work with some of the level 1 pupils - that was me last year. I hope to do level 3 and then on to do hairdressing, before applying to work on a cruise ship or in a spa. Maybe one day I will have my own salon. If it was not for the school allowing me to follow a Partnership course, I would not be doing something I really love. PUPIL PROFILE I chose to do the course because I had always been interested in Beauty Therapy. This interest came from talking to my aunt who is a Beauty Therapist. I knew I was going to get a good grade in Beauty Therapy because I am good at practical work.
